It happens every year but I suppose they are soldiers... they don't go into the job expecting comfort and easy jobs do they?

No it really isn't necessary. Bloody ridiculous.

Seems utterly ludicrous to me. (As in the requirement for them to stand still in a million thick layers in the sun for sod all good reason, not the fainting itself). Feels inhuman to put people in that position, and for literally what real reason??
