Air fryer question

Do they throw out a lot of heat?

My daughter is one who will insist on hot meals whatever the weather outside is doing. When she turns the oven on in 30 degree heat, it's unbearable. Would an air fryer be a better option?

Not really- just a bit out of the back.

Tickledtrout · 10/06/2023 14:50

Much better, yes.

Far better than the oven. All contained in a small space making it more efficient and giving off less heat. I use mine near my extractor fan.

I may have to go for it then. I've been putting off adding another thing to my worktop, but if it avoids being baked all summer then it's worthwhile

Yes and the cooking is so quick anyway. I think it’ll make our summer meals so much easier.

And you can use it outside if you have a near socket.

Oooh, I never thought of using it outside!

This - but the bit out of the back can be substantial. Mine deformed the wall socket it was plugged into. I now pull it forward when it's in use and it's fine.

It's 40C where I live and there is no AC in the kitchen. I'd use my air fryer over my oven any day. The oven runs off bottled gas tbf which has its own issues - Air fryer outcomes are much more predictable! Ideally I'd live off salad and sandwiches from May to October.

I use mine outside - especially when cooking fish : )
