I found this to be a very interesting video by someone called Daniel Mackler (ex therapist). I was reminded of it when reading another thread on MN Chat today.

It is a well-known fact that many members of mental-health related professions were attracted into their roles because of issues that they have or have had. I don't believe this always invalidates the care and help they can offer their clients.
