Cheesecake recipe, thickened cream?

I’m in the UK and I’m making a cheesecake. The recipe is Australian I think and says use thickened cream. It says combine the cream with condensed milk etc. I’ve bought double cream, my question is would you whisk the cream before adding the condensed milk etc? Or will the mixture firm up once they’re combined?

Whisk it first.

When I make a cheesecake, I always whip the double cream first to a whipped cream consistency, then add to cream cheese (never used condensed milk). It definitely won't firm up itself though.

I just put the unwhisked double cream and consensed milk in a bowl and mix them together. They definitely thicken up and then properly firm up in the fridge.

This. Even better with some lemon juice.
