For some reason whenever I mean mittens I somehow say muffins. Anyone else a lexical numpty?

Whenever I am typing or saying 'definitely' it's always 'defiantly' in my head. Drives me insane

Monumentous instead of monumental. DP is a nonnative English speaker who delights in pointing out such mistakes 🙄

Testicles and tentacles

Exhibition and expedition. I know the meaning of both fine but always have to think for a second to use the right one.

“Generally” and “genuinely”. I generally have to put a bit of brain power into working out which one I’m genuinely meaning.

Muffins vs Mittens is brilliant.

Mine is more of a mash up but whenever I want to say sun cream, I mash it up with sun screen... so I end up saying sun scream every time!
