Forehead wrinkles after never moisturising- help!

VasariMichelangelo · 09/06/2023 00:04

I'm 38 and have never had a skin care routine barring washing. I can now notice the difference and I have many more deep lines on my forehead (years of smoking didn't help) than people even a few years older than me.

I know I can't turn back the clock but any suggestions? Good moisturisers?

I have never been a fan of altering your natural state but I'm on the verge of getting botox I feel so awful about how I've so quickly aged. It's only been over the past couple of years but it's really noticeable in comparison to others my age.

TIA x

Botox is really the only thing that will make a noticeable difference.

Thanks, I suppose I just wanted to know the best way to stop it getting worse. However on the botox note, do you have any experience with it? Cost and how often you need to get it?

I'd highly recommend botox, only way to get rid of them but going forward I'd never be without

Retinol ( a good salon one)
Spf
Antioxidant serum
Eye cream

Botox can be anywhere from 250 for three areas where I live.

The more you get it the less you need it, I get 5 months out of mine but could prob stretch to 6 months if needed

My granny and mother and Joan Collins all said moisturize, wear a hat when in the sun. Pre Botox. They had lovely skin

I echo what @bowiesmum has said, also look into rfmirconeedling, HIFU and Profhilo if you want to avoid the Botox route. But being totally honest Botox is the only thing that will essentially erase the lines as it paralyses the muscles in your forehead which stop the creasing of your skin.

You could try anti wrinkle patches. Or silicone patches.

I'm prone to forehead wrinkles and Botox is magic in that are. I use fantastic products as well but they aren't a patch on Botox.

every 3-4 months and cost depends where you go. Can you ask friends for recommendations?
