In pain 24hours after smear test

Had my second ever smear yesterday and found it much more painful than the first one three years ago, and I still feel quite sore.

Is this normal? I'm now worried about the results because I don't think it's supposed to have hurt this much.

They can be quite uncomfortable in my experience. Take some paracetamol and see how you are in a day or two. It should settle down soon.

Try not to worry about the results, chances are everything will be fine.
