Middle DC has a sporting event tomorrow, big deal and authorised day of school for it…

Also youngest’s DC’s 12th bday, we are taking her out of school as well as we will be leaving early morning and not back to late evening and I just would feel awful to only have a hour or so with her before bed time on her special day.

Both DC share the love of same sport but it just so happens that it’s the oldest’s one time to compete and and so here we are

There are elements of the day that Birthday child will love, food, shopping and just getting out for the day, she also has a lovely pile of presents to open 1st thing but it’s probably not how she would choose to spend her day and I’m feeling quite guilty.

We did think about taking her cake with us however it’s very hot where we are in the UK and just don’t think it would make it!

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can combine the 2 and keep DC’s bday special?
