Techies please - capacitive or resistive touch screen?

I have no end of trouble getting mobile touchscreens to detect my fingers (really any touch screens - vending machines, cashpoints, you name it).

So I've been researching touchscreens and it appears that while capacitive touchscreens are more advanced and more common now, it is possible that for people like me, the resistive ones are better. Plus phones are a bit cheaper!

My understanding is resistive works on pressue and capacitive on electrical impulses.

Any thoughts?

Thanks! 😊

Are your hands too dry?

No idea.

Thanks.

Yes, that's a possibility. Bad circulation is another explanation, apparently.

But whatever the cause (and lathering my hands in cream is a no-no) my life was easier when there were no touchscreens!

I need a physical keyboard, that's a must, but I have a choice of glass type for the touchscreen part.
