Constant illness

Name changed as this is a bit outing.

Does this sound like an excessive amount of illness to you?

In the last 18 months I've had
Chicken pox (2nd time)
2 asthma attacks caused by virus (not had asthma since teen years)
2 UTIs
Strep A
Severe tonsillitis
Covid x2 resulting in ongoing symptoms
Multiple colds and flus

I just seen to be constantly ill. Catch everything from the kids and then get it worse. Every time I have a cold I get a fever.

I try to eat healthily, exercise, sleep well, take vitamins what am I doing wrong?

I'd go to gp and talk to them about it. Thats an awful lot. Hopefully some bloody tests could reassure you.

Its possible you got really ill and your immune system just couldn't properly recover?

Yes sounds like you have immune system issues.

Definitely take that list to your GP and get their opinion. Not saying they will be able to give you answers. It sounds like you need a proper rest and convalescence.

(I have ME/Cfs and when I get a simple cold my whole body nosedives for weeks, I feel really ill and can barely function. Because ME affects my immune system).

Not saying you have ME, OP. Just that you may, at least currently, have a more delicate immune system and need to rest more. Is your life demanding or stressful?

Booked a GP appointment although not until med July!

Thing is my life isn't particularly demanding or stressful so not too sure what I can change

Hi OP I keep getting Shingles, I asked the GP and they did some bloods for things like low iron and vitamins.

Ah well, maybe blood tests and investigations is the way to go. Interesting to see what your GP says. I’d actually bring him that list in large, bold letters and give it to him/her. Might concentrate their mind. Save them faffing about on the computer looking back and missing things!

End of July, wow, but it’s the same here 🙄. At least you have got the ball rolling.
