Anyone stayed at Ikos Oceania or Olivia resorts recently?

Looking at booking it direct but am a bit confused by a few things. Are the transfers free private transfers like Sani resort or shared coach?
I’ve contacted them to ask and to ask if you can pay extra for a private transfer but haven’t heard back yet.

do you have to prebook breakfast and dinner on the app like some other resorts? I can see they have the dine around option but wasn’t sure if you would get in if you didn’t book

the All inclusive package looks amazing I can’t believe how broad it is, and with the 24 hour room service and the list of complimentary activities etc

We stayed quite a few years ago and it was a private transfer

@Posypointshoes

We were in Olivia last August (our last holiday for a long long time it seem Sad) but a good way to finish.

Anyway, It's private transfers included if booked direct, not if you go through an agent.

I prefer Olivia to Oceania (plus all new staff members get trained at Olivia)

You can prebook up to three restaurants before you go. Book the others on arrival. Dine out is a choice of a few restaurants locally. IThis you pre-book. did this the first time but found the menu was limited. You don't need to pre-book breakfast or lunch (in fact I'm pretty sure you can't)

If you email Ikos they will respond to all your questions. Anything you specifically want they will usually organise for you with no issue.

Can't rate them high enough.

Also, the dine out includes transport there and back so you can at least have a drinkGrin

The choice of restaurants is great with different cuisines, and there is always a buffet if you just want to 'pick and mix'

thank you so much! We are leaning towards Ikos - the price is better, and Olivia looks more suitable for my little nephew. Thanks for all that info @billyt it's really really helpful. We are going in early October so I'm keeping my fingers crossed the weather is nice, I've only been to Greece once in October before and it was unseasonably warm at 30 degrees - I'd be happy with anything around 20-23 and dry!

Put the Ikos app on your phone. You'll see the menus there as well as a lot of other info to help you plan.

Olivia use to have a little kiosk down by the beach. Used by beach staff to get food and drinks and you could sit and eat there yourself. They've refitted it into a proper restaurant.

And looks like they've replaced the minis with Teslas this year.

And I've just realised I'm getting the Olivia and Oceania confused. Can't believe I've done that!!! Sorry.

Stayed at the Oceania last August. You can visit Olivia as it's a short drive and use all the facilities there.

We’ve been to Oceania very recently! Transfers were in a private car and a suitable kids car seat was provided (but we did email about that to double check). Tesla rental also came with a car seat but you do have to install it yourself which took us a while to figure out! You can book three dinners before you go and we managed to book two extra when we got there. Buffet and two restaurants were walk up for breakfast and lunch. You could also order snacks at both the poolside and on the beach. You can use the usually adults only indoor spa pool with kids in the morning and they apparently extend the time on bad weather days. There are balance bikes and those push along trike things that can borrowed from the mountain bike hire. Not sure on the age of your nephew but the kids club was really good. My DS has never been to one before we booked him for a few sessions and he loved it. The app is really useful!

We’ve booked Olivia as it was the best deal so hopefully we won’t be disappointed. What was it your preferred about Oceania?
