What size washing machine would you go for

Boring grown up question alert.

Washing machine has packed in. Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 young kids. One DC has a double duvet and sometimes still wets the bed so would like to be able to wash that at home. We have a superking duvet, not sure that would fit in any of them so probably irrelevant.

8, 9 or 10kg?

I have a 9kg. Four adults here. King and Queen size bedding. Everything fits in fine.

@Theoldwoman what about your actual duvets?

I’ve got a 9kg and I’d go 10, or bigger. Duvet will depend on the tog/thickness etc.

@Theoldwoman what about your actual duvets?

Yes, they fit as well.

I have a 9kg. BUT when I was choosing it so many of the washing machines with high capacity had tiny little doors! I picked mine because it had a massive door so much easier to get bulky things in. I haven't actually washed duvets in it, so dunno if it would cope, but I can guarantee that if it did I'd at least have no issue getting it in and out.

I bought a fab Hoover 9kg 1600 spin at Christmas and could highly recommend.

Double duvets wash no problem but don't think a king size would.
