What can’t I miss on Skye

Going to Skye for 4 nights as a ploy to break up a long visit to family… I haven’t been since I was an ungrateful teenager, and think I just sat in the b&b with a face on saying I was bored…

What do I have to do?
Keen hikers, ok-ish scramblers, but bad climbers. Non-outdoorsy suggestions welcome too!
Also recommendations for nice pubs and places to eat too! Ideally not too spendy.
Oh wise women of MN help me out!

The Three Chimneys restaurant - book in advance
Faerie Glen
Faerie Pools

Have a great time!

If you like whisky, the Talisker distillery is well worth a trip and you can combine it with a trip to the Old Inn, which is right on the loch, possibly the most beautiful location for a pub in the world. And Talisker beach is stunning too.

Avoid The Three Chimneys. It’s hugely overrated, extremely overpriced, some of the staff were awful when we visited (last summer), the food was pretentious and relatively standard.

I hate Whiskey (I’m from Speyside so this is essentially a criminal offence) DP does so that does stay an option!

Old Man of Storr. Worth the hike up the hill for the views. We also enjoyed a walk round Glen Brittle. Dunvegan Castle - you can take a boat out to the seal colony. Love Skye! We've visited many times and been extremely lucky to always have good weather.

The Quirang. There's a really nice walk from the car park at the top of the col.

What about loch coruisk. It’s a boat trip but it’s beautiful.

Old Man of Storr
Mealt Falls & Kilt Rock
Neist Point lighthouse
Fairy Pools (water levels were too high to access when I went 😞)
Quiraing is stunning

You may also consider booking restaurants. When I went most places we wanted to go to were fully booked. We ended up with fish & chips by the sea one night & a Chinese takeaway in the hotel on another!!

Old man of storr
The Quairaing - walk there from the layby near Flodigarry (much nicer than going from the tourist car park)
There's various rib rides from Portree - I really enjoyed it
