Toys for 20 month old

We are going away next Friday on an almost 3 hour flight and wonder if anyone could recommend age appropriate toys for my 20 month old? We have a colouring book and a sticker book but we are away for 10 days so could do with some more ideas and also want things he can play with in the hotel. Will also downloads a few of his favourite shows on my phone incase he starts to get fussy on the plane. What did your child love to play with at that age?

Small things: finger puppets, tin of fuzzy felt, window stickers to go on plane.
To pack: blown up ball, sand toys.
