We checked our wildlife camera this morning as the nest box was eerily quiet and there's 2 dead Great Tit chicks - they look like they've been injured. But IN the nest box? (How? What would do that?)
There's 2 alive chicks (we think they're alive) and no sign of either parent. They've been really active parents for weeks.
Anyway, just wondering if we should remove the dead chicks carefully? Or leave it all be? Don't want a stinky nest box but also we understand not to interfere with nature.
I loved my little tits so feeling a bit sad! 🐦
