For the fourth night this week, I have had a slug in my bedroom, crawling along the skirting board under the window! I’ve caught them immediately and disposed of them but the buggers are still coming! They are very small so I reckon they are babies who have just hatched, probably in the void under the house as I saw one coming from under the carpet squeezing between the carpet and the wall.
I don’t want to go to sleep in case another one pays me a visit! I’ve just spent a fortune on Amazon on copper tape, copper mesh, a “natural” slug repellant spray that is safe to use on a carpet and a spray bottle to make up the solution. I plan to spray the skirting board, air bricks and window frames every night, also the outside wall. I’ll try to fix the copper tape and/or mesh under the carpet next to the skirting board - carpets were only fitted a couple of months ago after waiting ten years to replace the cheap ones put in by a property developer.
I doubt that anything will work but this is war! It’s either that or move house.
