21st birthday slideshow, did you do one?

Goodness what an emotional day. I've been going through old photos to put together a slideshow for DD who is turning 21 soon. I can't tell you how many tissues I have been though. I was not expecting this reaction tbh

I'm doing it in PowerPoint for now, I am sure there is probably a better way, but this is one program I have and know how to use. But I want to add some music in to it.

I want to use about 3 songs which ill cut and fade, but was hoping for some music suggestions.

I am going with the (I am sure quite overused) Hope you'll dance because it's apt, she is a dancer and this one is meaningful to us. I have been trawling through playlists and suggestion lists online, but I think my emotional overload has been a bit much today . So just wanted to get some ideas if anyone did similar, and could you let me know which songs you used please. Another one I'm liking is There You'll Be , which got me bawling again.

Will be grateful for any suggestions for this quite overly emotional mum.

I so enjoyed looking through all the photos and putting them all together Smile

If I've read it right, this is just for your dc to look at ? Not in front of tons of other people ?

What about 'Slipping through my fingers' (Abba) ?

That will make you well up Grin

I've never heard of this. At first, I thought you meant rigging up those slides with a hosepipe and some plastic at the bottom!

Ooh slipping through my fingers is a great suggestion.

Lawdy, I'm welling again just thinking about it.

Other people will see it too. So I've tried to be kind and not haul out allll the worst photos. 😃

Oh the good old slip n slide.

We have moved on from those parties now. We did have a few of those too though.

Have you started hauling them out yet?

If so, have you been able to hold it together , unlike me 🙈

I think as i have put a caption on each photo is what has not helped with the emotional roller coaster.

I keep telling myself to get a bloody grip. Don't think peri, empty nest syndrome and all that jazz in the mix is very helpful.
