Buying gig tix through a private seller via PayPal - am I protected?

Trying to score gig tickets via the web as not having any luck on Twickets etc.

If I send money to someone's email address and they turn out to be a crank (they contacted me on FB after I put out an appeal on FB event page), would I be covered for a refund?

Or am I stupid to consider it?

If you send as friends and family you are not protected. If you send as business you are protected (not exactly sure of the Ts and Cs) but there will also be a fee deducted from the amount you send. I'd personally be wary to be honest 😬x

I personally wouldn't do it Are they selling for face value or more?

If face value I would ask them to list it on twickets. If they won't or asking for more money I'd stay clear. Is it a lot off money? Twickets only charge sellers, PayPal charges so same as if they sold it via PayPal.

When is the concert, keep an eye out closer to the time, especially on the actual day off concert.
