My birthday is in a couple of days and would like to spend the night away somewhere. I'd like a spa stay but my DH has issues with having our 3yo and having to take it in turns
So the options are the following:
We go to a luxury spa for the day, and our 3yo stays in nursery all day. We then collect him and have dinner somewhere nice locally.
We stay at a local spa hotel, no availability the night before my birthday, but they do have on my birthday. We'd have to ask for their "good will" to use the spa facilities earlier (we want to have some treatments too). So 3yo goes to nurse for the AM, we go have our spa day, collect him get the dog and return to the hotel area for lunch, eventually have dinner somewhere and stay over there.
The latter seems a bit silly as we literally live 40mins away and there's no real need to stay overnight (apart from the experience).
Leaving the 3yo in nursery all day to go for a spa day seems a bit selfish, but with no family around that's the best we can do
