I'm probably the youngest one here haha just turned 24! Have siblings between the age range from 12, 16 etc so we all are basically down with the trends and I've worked in JD etc.
Low White Airforce 1's are always a go to, sell out every time of the year especially in summer season! (If you buy these make sure they do not have a single crease in them it's a very important rule for Airforces to not get creases on them especially wearing them, you'll be teased about it. Also crep protect works wonders. If you follow the instructions on the bottle it does actually work very well, people who say it doesn't haven't used it properly. Considering our weather is very temperamental it's worth an investment if your child was to wear it and it suddenly rained it's £10 but last a long time you don't need to spray much of it, but put it on outside as it's a strong chemical smell some people can't stand so in the balcony, garden, front door etc (I always test to see if I put enough by put water in a water bottle lid, if the water slides right off or forms a perfect water droplet you used enough). Dirty airforces or creases breaks your heart it's just the golden rules to follow part of the trend.
The mid high Jordan's are not favourable at all for real trainer heads (people have their preferences if they just buy trainers just for the look of them) it's the low ones that are the trendiest alongside the low Panda's. Both of which are so popular people que outside to buy them as they sell out within an hour of launch. The image attached are the exclusive ones I bought a few months ago still waiting for a decent occasion to rock them out.
Airforces are always a good go to. Can't go wrong with them but only the low ones. The high top ones are no longer trendy , that fizzled out completely when I was about 14/15, if you wear them now you'll be made fun of. Huaraches are a hit and miss with certain people, but they released new styles that are actually very nice but best to find out his taste so you know definitely what to avoid. If you would like to post a few of his preferences he's expressed he likes I'll be happy to let you know which ones you're better off going for! His choices will probably be popular sell outs so I could help you find out where to purchase them if the obvious shops don't have them.
I would avoid any air maxes (I live in London) and it's just not trendy anymore. It's perceived as an outdated look or chavy nowadays or boy's who think they're hard and up to trouble. You will mostly see older people rocking them as they just wear what they like, but not people within my age range and below as it's all about the trend.
Hope he has an amazing birthday x
