Nottingham Mums - City or Queens?

Can anyone give me their experiences giving birth at these hospitals please?

Nottingham maternity departments have taken a battering in the city as of late and I'm struggling to choose.

Thank you.

Which side of Nottingham are you? Is there any chance you could pick the Royal Derby Hospital. I live in Derbyshire but Queens really isn't that far (and easier in traffic than Derby) and I got a choice of Queens, City or Derby Royal.

DD gave birth at City on 29/04 this year and they were amazing with her. No problems with her having an epidural, midwives were all amazing and really lovely. She had a slightly complicated birth and needed vacuum assistance but it was all done with respect and care. Baby was a little shocked after birth and mum needed a catheter but again the care was amazing.

I had ds at queen's and thought they were amazing. Dsis had one of hers at city, I went to visit and it seemed really poor in comparison to qmc but she was perfectly happy.

Had my child at city (was just closest at the time) and they were great. Highly recommended. Follow up support re breast feeding was fantastic too (drop in clinic which solved my issues when I was ready to give up).
