I'm remortgaging and my bank sent out a surveyor/inspector for the mortgage application process. Just a routine appointment I'll never see her again, so it's not like it's an issue, but here are three weird things she did:
- When I opened the door to her, she said, "Hi," like we knew each other and just starting walking in. I had to say, "You're from the bank?" and she showed me her ID (showing she's their surveyor). I mean, we never met before!
- I made her a tea and we agreed she'd crack on while I got back to work. She went first into my bedroom and closed the door behind her. I thought she was closing it to look at something but then after a few minutes it was still closed. I got up, opened it, propped it open, smiled at her, and got back to work.
- After some time she went into the spare bedroom. She didn't close the door(!) but after five minutes or so I couldn't hear her walking around or anything so I waited a bit more, looked in, and she was sitting on the bed playing with the cat.
I said, "All done then?" and she got her things and left.
I'm still laughing! Any chance she wasn't actually an inspector and just came to nap?
