Baby split gum

My baby fell and smashed her gum on my bed frame , I took her to the dentist straight away who said it should heal and to give calpol and no acid foods. It started to heal nicely however a couple of days later she slipped when crawling and bumped the same spot . Now it’s even worse and the gum has receded. Anyone’s little one done this before and how did their gum heal ??

My DS crashed into the corner of our TV table once. His teeth/gums looked much worse than your picture. Hes fully recovered now. You should still show it to the dentist i think, in case he injured his teeth.
The advice our dentist gave about the gums was to brush his teeth downwards to encourage the gums to come back down and not recede even more.
