Sun cream for the face that won't sting eyes

Is there a sun cream for the face that won't sting the eyes.

I find lately I am avoiding the forward area with suncream because it tends to melt into my eyes.

Wondering if there is any sun cream that won't melt into eyes.

Boots No7 protect and perfect. It doesn't sting at all.

7Worfs · 04/06/2023 13:15

I use Kiehl’s 50SPF and very happy with it.

Garnier spf50 for the face sensitive.

I use a lip balm with spf in (ultrasun one at the mo) and use it on my lips, eyelids and ears. As it's a block, it doesn't run into your eyes 👍🏼

I use La Roche Posay Anthelios 50. Pricey but you don’t need much and no stinging.

LemonDrizzle10 · 04/06/2023 14:04

Olay factor 30 face cream is the one I’m currently using. I’ve got a la Roche posay face spray factor 50 too. Both lovely.

I use Garnier Ambre Solaire facial suncream 50 SPF every day. Smothered all over my face in an ungainly fashion and doesn't sting my eyes. Leave a few mins then put on BB cream, it leaves a really nice glow.

Hawaiian Tropic face sunscreen is brilliant doesn't melt in to the eyes at all I always had that problem until I used this.

Blossomandbee · 04/06/2023 14:32

Avon oil control facial sun cream, comes in factor 30 or 50.

FangedFrisbee · 04/06/2023 15:35

Altruist face fluid. I have melanoma and it's the only suncream I've found that doesn't sting

Fairymother · 04/06/2023 15:39

I use 50 spf face fluid. I think they are made to not sting in the eyes. Atm i use la roche posay 60 spf, but ive had other brands before and none of them stung. I hte it when i forget and have to use normal sunscreen, because they always make my eyes burn.

I bought this, it is the worst suncream I have ever used for eye sting, it was awful.

countdowntonap · 04/06/2023 15:40

I agree with La Roche Posay Anthelios! No more sore, streaming eyes!

Showerroomlove · 04/06/2023 15:48

SimonJT: did you use the Altruist suncream or the face fluid? I've seen people commenting that they have had that effect but it's been the suncream for the body. Anyway, from reading so many responses about various face creams on Skincare forums, it's often the case that what works for one person doesn't work for another and it's all just trial and error Smile

organicapricot · 04/06/2023 15:52

UpCircle mineral sun cream. Bit pricey but no sting, light and smells nice too. Love the other products too and the ethos of the company.

As in my reply, I used the face fluid.

Loads of really good recommendations from this guy. He has a searchable data base with over 200 sunscreens.
I've been using the Garnier Ambre Solaire Invisible Super Serum UV and it's so good. Really lightweight and no eye stinging and it's on offer in Boots atm.

Another vote for La Roche Posay Anthelios 50, such a tiny amount needed, no sting at all and absorbs really well. I love it.

LER83 · 04/06/2023 16:31

I use either ultrasun or green people for the face. Neither has stung my eyes. My 10 yr old daughter doesn't have any issues with the green people one either.

I was going to mention this one too, I have bought it today as the friends we stayed with last weekend had it and I had suffered the weekend before with stingy eyes!

I use Kiehl’s 50SPF and very happy with it.

This is amazing and blends in really nicely

Isseywith3witchycats · 04/06/2023 17:56

Gruum the people who do bar soaps and shampoos do a factor 50 face suncream , i have the most sensitive skin ever and used it on holiday this year, no perfume sank into my skin really well and no itchiness whatsoever

Qilin · 04/06/2023 17:58

I use Ultrasun and it doesn't sting.
