CARES Harness - EasyJet

Travelling with EasyJet in July with 3 year old. Their website says we can use a CARES harness - does anyone know if this is compulsory.

Website reads as if it is a personal preference rather than requirement but want to double check with anyone who has travelled with them recently.

Have reached out to customer services but have had no response as yet.

Its not compulsory. 3yos can travel in a normal seat with the kap belt, regardless of their size. (Indeed my 2yo who was the size of an average 16mo was expected to!)

If it was compulsory it was say MUST use and they would probably provide FOC on board. It says can then this would mean optional.
