I’ll admit I’ll do a little internal “yay!” when I see a ‘Why isn’t my house selling?’ thread on the Property Board, complete with Right Move link.

I also always make time for a good parking thread where the OP chooses to take decisive action with a note or blocking-in.

Any one else keep their eyes peeled for certain threads?

I always find the "Annoyed by neighbours" threads pretty hilarious especially if they include a hand drawn diagram 🤣

DoYiu · 03/06/2023 23:30

I like a good bunfight but it can get boring once people are repeating the same points over and over.

Currently watching one where a poster has dropped a bombshell and I'm awaiting a response. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

I love Style & Beauty threads about why people chose to wear what they do.

JustGeorgie · 03/06/2023 23:41

I like the kind that end up On Tattle!

YesYesAllGood · 03/06/2023 23:44

I love the threads where posters share really embarrassing stories. They always make me cry with laughter! 😂

littlehoops · 03/06/2023 23:59

I like the ones that unfold in real time and you end up compulsively refreshing the thread to 'see what happened next'.

There was one last year from a poster who'd had two cheeky visitors to stay, they'd drunk all the wine and were expecting nightly gourmet cooking...peak cheek! I can't remember all the details but it was a live post where each new post got more and more interesting. I think she ended up kicking them out and there was a big scene. It was fabulous!

Cf threads where they are clearly the cf but somehow don’t realise it. Saying that I think the majority of those ones are fake.

Ones about bad Christmas dinners, as in the actual food. Generally the bad hosting ones, and stingey food threads. Haven't seen one for a while though.

I love embarrassing stories too - DD and I have repeatedly laughed about the person who mistook gravy granules for instant coffee and gave it to the piano tuner. And the woman who put zoflora covered sanitary pads around the house to freshen it - then had a visitor and there was one stuck on the kitchen door.

Sometimes all I'm in the mood for is pictures of cats (never had one)

About 7 years ago there was one about boring things your partner says. That was so funny that DH got woken up with my snorting. I've searched inc on google and never been able to find it.

Rogue1001MNer · 04/06/2023 00:15

I do love a funny thread. Particularly unintentionally.

CFs.

Parking.

I hate myself, but "is he cheating?" I find riveting.

And I like a list of things that interest me (this thread is one example)

shangelawasrobbed · 04/06/2023 00:21

I like the "funny things my children say" and "reasons my 3-year-old is crying" type threads. Kids can be fucking hilarious.

IncessantNameChanger · 04/06/2023 00:24

Lost prized toys that kind people replace.

Love stories of embarrassing memories. Reminds me when I spent a whole day meeting government clients in Central London and no one told me in had ripped the arse out my trousers while 8 months pregnant. I still cringe.

Woo threads ( although I'm convinced I belive dispite having very real woo moments of my own)

Yes!!! There was one where a poster was just having a drink, and before you know it, it turned into an angry hilarious tirade against other posters.

Then the OP took pictures of their pubes and actually posted it live to prove something to someone

Then they changed their nickname to KievsGoneUnder (something like that) to prove they mean business.

It was both horrendeous and wonderful, live. MNHQ stepped in and had them sorted.

Other than that I like CF neighbour ones, creepy OLD stories, I ate my DH's crisps (+ pearl clutching)

I also like good Telly recs and Class Wars but that's not as riveting to scroll thru
