How immaculate does my house have to be for house sitters?

We have to go away for 3 weeks and I think our dear old cat would find it stressful to be in a cattery.

We could get house sitters. I put out an ad (neither party pays). I got loads of responses from all sorts of people.

I just feel really stressed about the idea.

We don't have a spare room so they would be sleeping in my bed, which is a bit uncomfortable.

And our house is such a jumble. Nothing matches. The sofa has a hole in it.

I'm walking around and seeing it through a stranger's eyes and everything is shabby and hotch potch.

Do I need to be a matching mugs and organised cupboards house to get house sitters?

As long as it is clean and tidy it’s fine. You don’t need matching crockery or furniture, although i do think beds should be comfortable.
