Has anybody been to the live tour?
What's it like?
At 47, will I have a fabulous nostalgic evening or will I be trampled by uni students enjoying 90s night the way we used to go to 70s nights?
NB: I never was cool in the first place; I wish I was Jo Whiley but would struggle to emulate her.

I haven't but did see her instagram post about her photo session with Good Housekeeping and how she is always a goth at heart. I love her, she seems such a lovely person, a great mum and l love her clothes.

Haha... I just have the self same GH in front of me!

I've been - Feb 2020; last night out before it all kicked off.
It's bloody brilliant. 90s student-stylee dancing with sensible comfy trainers.

What age are you - and how did that compare to other people?

Was it dancing all night or were there seated bits?

Was it drinky or not?

Thinking of it for a night out for DH's birthday but need a bit of convincing 😂

I was in my very late 40s - as were most other attendees, I'd say. Seating would vary according to the specific venue, but we had a hall with a bar and seating, and a separate hall with the music. Jo's set was only part of the evening and we bobbed in and out of the dance floor.
I haven't danced so much in ages - the trainers are a total game changer.
Go for it.

Some people were pissed; others less so. I didn't drink much; was having too much fun.
It was the awesomeness of 90s music with none of the student angst/ judgyness

Students generally won't go anywhere near events attended by their parents! I live in a uni city where there is a dearth of nightlife, but they seemed to leave Jo to us (as they also did Martin Kemp 80s night, which was equally fun)
