I washed my mattress protector and it’s disintegrated inside the washing machine. Unfortunately I was also washing bed sheets and face cloths at the same time. There’s small pieces of plastic everywhere - all over the washing machine drum and the other items in the washing machine (as well as floor and me).
I’ve binned the mattress protector, tried to clean the drum, shaken the other things as much as possible and put them back on to wash.
I washed it according to the care instructions. I’m so pissed off. Anxiously awaiting second wash to finish to see if the plastic bits will come off the other laundry. Is this going to damage my washing machine?
