Kiddo dropped my new glasses on concrete

I'll attach a pic shortly.

Picked them up today and asked him to pass me the case when we got out of the car. He opened it and dropped them lense first on the ground.

They have two little patches that are badly scratched and i can see it with them on. Does anyone know it they can be repaired? I haven't even worn them yet and I'm hoping it's not £150 down the drain. 😩😭😭

If they are scratched then unfortunately cannot be repaired. I had my glasses in my bag in a pocket(without a case). As I was taking them out, one of the lens scratched on the zip.

I tried all the hacks from Google etc which did not work then ended up going to the opticians. They told me unfortunately that the glasses were done for.
I tried to use them for a while with the scratch but the scratch was right on my vision line and bugged me. Ended up having to buy some more.

Poor you. I myself dropped my new glasses outside Aldi, removing a mask, when covid masks were a new thing. So angry with myself.

Should be covered on your insurance, but also worth asking the optician - I think it depends on where the scratches are.

If they're scratched then you'll need to pay for a replacement unfortunately.

But mine are scratched and I wear them all the time 🤷‍♀️

You should be able to get new lenses in the same frames if the frames are ok, just check with your optician if they offer this. Then you'll only be paying for new lenses.
