Solo Holiday recommendations

Can anyone recommend to me a beach holiday for someone going alone? I’ve had the worst week in work and I desperately need a break. All my friends have holidays booked with their partners so im going to have to go it alone.

Slightly apprehensive! Maybe somewhere that has a good atmosphere and staff/ locals speak reasonable English. Somewhere I won’t feel too out of place eating alone at night.

Malta. I went as my first solo trip. English is the official language. Not many beaches though, so select the area carefully.

Or Mallorca, many brits there and tourist staff are used to us.

I went to Sardinia alone about 4 years ago. It is really beautiful but they are not at all into the wild night scene if that makes it any easier. I also took the ferry over to Corsica one day, which was a lovely experience.

My yearly solo break is Corallejo in Fuertaventura. Been going there on my own for several years after leaving my high stress job. Very low key place. No yobs. Lovely restaurants and very pleasant beaches. I join a gym and totally chill 😎

I was thinking of doing the same but what sort of things should I think about when booking?

I’ve tried driving abroad and not keen on that for one.

You could try somewhere like Barcelona where there’s lots to do and a beach (not the best but there is one!).
