I did one of those foot peels a week ago and nothing is happening

And my feet are SO bad. Using the peel has made them far worse, I don't know if it's because I haven't been able to use moisturiser for a week but they're unbearably dry and cracked now. Soaked my feet for an hour morning and night yesterday and just a tiny bit of peeling between a couple of my toes. I want a massive sporny peel fest! What do I do? I'm soaking my feet again now!

Which peel product did you use?

007DoubleOSeven · 02/06/2023 13:47

Didn't work for me either.

If you have calluses, you might be better off with a callous cutter or podiatrist appointment.

BanditsOnTheHorizon · 02/06/2023 13:48

The only one I've found that actually works is footner, but it did take around two weeks for it to actually start to peel. Then once it did - it was glorious Grin

GreyCarpet · 02/06/2023 13:49

I used footner a few weeks ago. I didn't have any peeling for about 10 days and, when I did, it wasn't much.

But I've done a foot spa this morning with rock salt and fresh rosemary in the water and I now have the feet of a small child!

I don't think a week is long enough.

Wear thick socks and boots so that your feet really start sweating for a few hours. Then the Great Peel of 2023 should happen.

whyisitalwayswindy · 02/06/2023 13:50

Didn't work for me. Was quite disappointed 😂

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 02/06/2023 13:50

I have tried three times and never had more than a teeny tiny peeling bit. Despite wearing them for longer than recommended and soaking before and most days after.

I am back to a urea foot cream now

bellinirocks · 02/06/2023 13:52

Use the beauty pie one - is works about 2 weeks after.

AlwaysPlayingYellowCar · 02/06/2023 13:53

I’ve used the Oh K one which works quite well.

Sorry I meant to say it was just a cheap home. V10 tea tree I think it was

I prefer a chiropodist to slice off the dead skin with a scalpel. Bloody love it.

Sadmum71 · 02/06/2023 13:56

I tried one from Oliver Bonas and nothing happened - twice! Footner is the only way.

Good idea I am going to try this

I have never found the cheap ones to work well - Footner is the only one that works in my book.

spottysnail · 02/06/2023 14:01

I would get an electric hard skin remover. I got the one by own harmony on Amazon recently, it's really good but just don't press hard as it is very effective!

Midnightstar76 · 02/06/2023 14:02

It will mine took nearly 2 weeks then bam nothing stopping them and still peeling 3 weeks or so later

TastesLikeStrawberriesOnASummerEvening · 02/06/2023 14:04

I leave the peely bag things on for around four hours, then it works.

I am tempted to go to the chemist and ask for the most heavy duty feet cheese grater type thing they have and a massive tube of flexitol!

That's the one I used.

Soaked my feet before, put thick socks on over the bags, wore it all for over three hours and nothing. Waited a month and tried again, still nothing.

Cookiedough123 · 02/06/2023 14:30

I had a Korean one and it didn't work, but the guy who does my Mani pedi said they had a lady that lost so much skin she couldn't walk hardly. Off to check out footner

fancreek · 02/06/2023 14:35

Leave your feet alone!!!

Dry skin is the way your feet protect themselves. Stripping it is a recipe for disaster
