Looking for a nice sit down restaurant for a birthday meal. Happy to go in city centre or surrounding areas! Would appreciate any recommendations

Yang Sing was incredible the last time I went, but that was a while ago. Hopefully other posters will be more up to date!

If it's not necessary to be Chinese, then I recommend Chiopraya (sp?) for Thai.

Ah thank you I liked Yang Sing when we went a few years ago but I see it's closed now.

How fancy do you want? The places I love are mostly casual but Tattu is stunning (and pricey!).

Phwoar this place looks amazing!

Think my sister would prefer somewhere a bit more traditional but I might have to go myself soon Grin

Wings is excellent. Little Yang Sing is good too (or was when I last went!)
