Fixing puncture in pool

Please help, pool novice, have tried the patch that came in the box (applied the patch then vinyl on top) but that came off.
Have tried duct tape but that didn’t work either.
it’s not on a part that water touches

I vaguely remember repairing one with a bike puncture repair kit, was several years ago though so can’t remember how long it lasted.

I used a bike puncture repair kit last year 🤷‍♀️
Worked a treat 🤣
