DD went to the dentist yesterday who said one of her back molars needs to shift a bit so put a button on the outside of the upper molar and the inside of the lower molar to connect the band to move the molar. The button that's on the inside is causing so much pain to her tongue as her tongue is constantly brushing against it. I've been dosing her up with painkillers but she will barely eat because it hurts too much, even swallowing water hurts because her tongue moves when she swallows, rubbing against the sharp button. The dental wax the dentist gave us won't stay on it. The dentist said it should feel uncomfortable (hah! understatement of the year) for only a couple of days, is that true?
