DD is about to turn 14.

She's started wearing a little bit of makeup and likes to smell nice these days, so thought I'd get her some smellies for her birthday.

What's trendy these days? Perfume/makeup wise?

Gone are the days of Charlie Red and pan sticks! Any ideas?

I think there so much choice that there's no 'trend'. My sons GF was totally into Sephora at 16, but that's ££ I believe.

Benefit, fenty, revolution are all popular with mine depending on your budget .

I'd go with her and let her choose. It will be fun for her to go and try the perfume testers and find things she likes. A lovely Mum and daughter thing to do. When my DD was that age we did things like that occasionally when she was not put with her friends and used to pop into the cinema afterwards if there was anything we wanted to watch.
