What are some eye-brow raising things you've been told lately?

I'll start.

When I went to the GP, after getting my urine tested, because my husband and I are trying for a baby, I got all the symptoms including late periods but the pregnancy test is negative: "I'm just looking at your urine test, and it seems that...it's positive! (2 seconds later) for an UTI."

My ex, explaining that I should have given him another chance after cheating on me twice "I could have done it. It took me three times to pass my driving test!"

A website on which I have an account, that asked me to enter my password in order to retrieve my password that I had forgotten.

Grrrr

Some do, they buy them off Lovehoney.

I saw a bloke on TV that thought he looked like a woman.

My cleaner told me on Tuesday that one of her clients has started naked gardening when she arrives. His wife is at work and doesn’t know. He apparently bends over an awful lot.

How horrific. I'd leave a note (to him not his wife) asking him to garden with clothes on or wait until she has gone to garden naked as it's not an appropriate condition for her to work in.

LittleEsme · 01/06/2023 08:09

I've been told by someone very reliable and honest, that a family man and good husband and a "decent human being" has for years, been asking her to have an affair with him.

I've looked up to this man for years. and always admired him and his family. His wife and children are wonderful.

He's been a liar and a cheat since the beginning of his marriage.

I don't know why this knocked me so much, but I feel winded. I thought I could judge someone's character well - I suppose that's why I feel winded.

His poor wife. She really is a lovely, lovely human being and deserves better.

This really is awful.

Deathraystare · 01/06/2023 08:20

@Ciri

Take a photo and send it to the wife asking if this is appropriate. Or just ask how long her husband has been doing this. She will of course deny.

FoggyDew · 01/06/2023 08:21

My son informed me that if a nuclear bomb drops, there will be a radius in which all frozen pizza will cook perfectly. Gospel truth according to a 9 year old.

Florissante · 01/06/2023 08:22

Humans can change sex.

Ciri · 01/06/2023 09:44

To those commenting on the naked gardening I have told her all this and told her she's at risk. She won't say anything, she needs the work.

Maddy70 · 01/06/2023 10:29

A friend conspiracy nutjob told me that when they clean the street bins the chemicals they use causes menopause ........

The cleaner needs to go to him and ask him to remove a bleach bottle lid.

That the covid vaccine has killed more people than covid.

swimlyn · 01/06/2023 16:57

Out walking I meet various people. Recently, a woman was telling me about this awful couple who live locally, and what they get up to, causing trouble etc, etc.

I loathe gossip, and made light of it, heading off. She then said something that made me realise she was talking about us.

Our immediate neighbour (male) runs a gossip group, and she gave the game away without realising who she was talking to. Nice...

That my breast cancer must have been caused by the covid vaccine 😑FFS

Whoops!

She's going to feel like a right idiot when the penny drops.

I was recently told by an A&E doctor that only my eldest child (16) will bring in viruses to my baby and not my middle son. He said it is well known that eldest children are the only ones to carry illness. I actually thought I was hallucinating after been waiting 7 hours.

Menopause in the bins?

My friend is adamant that the moon landings are faked.

I learnt that grass trimmers is the correct term for strimmers - the latter is just a brand name.

I would never ever go again and tell the agency/his wife why. Nasty pervert.

"Give swinging a go, there's something very satisfying about watching your H pleasure another woman right in front of you"

Erm..
no, surely there's absolutely no satisfaction in that at all whatsoever!!?? 😧
