I'm going to use this wall paper on one wall as a feature wall. What colour would you suggest I paint my other walls.

Soft beige?

BlameItOnTheGoose · 31/05/2023 20:07

If you insist on a feature wall, I think you need to paint the other walls either the same light colour or the same dark colour that is on the wall paper to create some cohesion.

Ooh yes a nice beige / griege / grey would be lovely

Few suggestions

Cancun - b&q
Egyptian cotton - lovely but done to death (I do have this in my house too though!)
Ammonite - F&B

If you wanted something a little more out there or different a soft pink like soft stone by Dulux would look lovely!

Thank you. I like the Egyptian cotton or the Ammonite F&B

A agree with a lighter colour, beigey/light grey. I think all dark will be too much myself

KnickerlessParsons · 31/05/2023 22:41

If your room is biggish, light and airy I think dark grey would look fabulous.

Yes I don't mind one wall being dark. I want the rest of it pretty light. Would be depressing otherwise.

B&Q Santa Fe

All dark walls in a room can make it cosy and inviting - not depressing at all. Especially if the trim and wood is white. My son chose a very dark grey - almost black for his bedroom when we redecorated and when I saw the result I was sorry I hadn't done it in my own bedroom. We had chosen a deep bluey grey one shade up from his but his looks better.

If it was a bedroom, I'd probably go with matching the dark blue/grey colour. If it is a living room, I can see why you'd want to match the lighter one.

I would get the same colour as the twigs on the wallpaper. It will give the room a much more cohesive look.

Farrow & Ball 'Setting Plaster' (or, rather, a colour match to save ££).

Hii, has anyone used the colour cancun b&q and done a feature wall in wallpaper. Possibly like to show for inspo🙏

Thank youu xx

febbabies2023 · 27/11/2023 14:27

@N92 I have used cancun in my living room but no feature wall at the moment I'm afraid. Can still show you a pic of what it looks like on the wall though?

N92 · 27/11/2023 17:03

It's a gorgeous colour.
Can I ask what colours you've paired it with accessories wise please. I'm thinking black and gold, I have a white fire mantel piece surround if that's what it's called😂
I'm also struggling finding curtains without them costing an absolute fortune

febbabies2023 · 27/11/2023 19:31

@N92 well my carpets and sofas are currently grey (its a new build property) but eventually the sofas will be changed when the kids are a bit older to a more neutral / beige and the flooring will be changed to amtico but everything else is black accents - photos attached
