Put a pair of Converse up for sale last night and was advised it's under review. I was asked to provide extra photos and then things like certificate and original packaging. Trainers didn't come with a certificate and I don't have the box anymore. Just been asked to send all this stuff again.
Does anyone know any way around this?

Following! I am trying to sell a designer item. I took pictures of everything (labels, stitching ect) and a screen shot of my online receipt and I still was not able to post it

Did you buy online? Online receipt or proof of purchase?

I bought them years ago. In store down south. Took them out their box to fly home and didn't keep the receipt. I'm only wanting £6 for them! Manage to post another paid of trainers for £35 no issue!

I listed a couple of Ralph Lauren jumpers when I started, and both were bounced. Not sure what else I could do with them really - receipts and any packaging are long gone, I took photos of logos and labels.

Haven't tried again though, as don't want them to block my account, am enjoying my clear out!

I managed to sell designer items on there just by taking photos of the tags in the clothes.

roseopose · 31/05/2023 14:50

When this happened to me, also with converse, they asked me to send a pic with a piece of paper next to the item with a code or something on that they'd issued me, did they mention that?

I was selling converse as well. Mine was in review . Luckily I still had the box. I took photos of the converse logo and also took photos of the soles. It was accepted

They've not asked for that yet.

I've taken more photos of every part of the shoe so here's hoping!

All approved now and sold 5 mins later! What a faff for £6!

I had that yesterday for a ralph Lauren jumper - so weird.

It was accepted after review so I didn't have to prove anything

cherrypied · 31/05/2023 18:09

I wonder if it makes a difference how many sale you have done already- I've done over 200 and was just a random jumper from DH! So odd!

Sarvanga38 · 31/05/2023 18:16

Hmmm, maybe I’ll try again when I have more sales and feedback under my belt.

PinkFootstool · 31/05/2023 18:36

It's not about sales or feedback - I just sold a Givenchy necklace without receipts or reviews with about 3 sales and 10 purchases. I took photos from all angles, of all materials and close ups of the brand stamps. I also described the metal as gold tone rather than gold, as it didn't have hallmarks, to be on the safe side.

Maybe they just get a bit funny about brands which are more commonly counterfeited?

Yes, I figured it probably is a common counterfeit item - I just know that mine were bought in RL stores and not sure what else I can take photos of to prove that, so was a bit stuck.😆
