Parking in Leeds help!

Going to Leeds on Friday. We should have been going on the train but they’re all cancelled so I’m having to drive!

There’s no parking where we are staying. I’ve been looking at car parks nearby but everything is so expensive or gets bad reviews for car windows getting smashed (Maude street). We need parking from Friday morning until Saturday night.

are there any restrictions to parking outside of town and then getting the bus in. I have a friend in pudsey but don’t want to go over there to park outside hers. Can I drive to Sheepscar and leave my car somewhere and get the bus in - is that an okay area? Or chapel allerton?

help! I booked the train so I didn’t have this scenario.

I'd park in New pudsey train station and get the train in. 12 minutes.

No trains! There’s a rail strike, otherwise we’d be using train for the whole journey.

DH refuses to drive in Leeds. There are a lot of new- ish bus lanes that can catch you out with a fine to boot now. There’s a Q Park multi storey that’s manned 24/7 off Sovereign Street so it’s clean and secure. I think there’s a reduced overnight rate but I don’t know prices I’m afraid. Ditto John Lewis car park. I park with family on the outskirts and get a taxi in to avoid this if possible!

110 bus. Park somewhere in Outwood or Lofthouse (nice area) walk to Leeds road. 20 mins on the bus, £2

Isn’t there a ‘Park On My Drive’ type app 🤷🏼‍♀️ ?

Park and ride was great. Not sure why it’s not used 7 days a week!

It used to run 7 days a week and longer hours during the week, but they cut it down a few weeks ago.

Annoying because that was when I used it most, but to be fair I was often the only person on the bus travelling in at 6 to 7 pm.

I'm travelling from Leeds Station next week on a 7 am train so I'm having to drive in but it's a work trip so they can pay for parking as I'm not waiting around for buses at 6 am that may or may not turn up when I have a train to catch.

Glad it all worked out for you.

I’ve mentioned it to a few people and no one had heard of it, we all use the york one regularly. It’s a pity as I would have used it on a Sunday, I wouldn’t mind travelling down for the day on the M1 on a Sunday morning.
