If you're in London today with teens what are you doing with them? Need inspiration

I'm at a loss (we live in London BTW) I don't want to go to the museums because they'll be really busy, we've quite recently done Tower of London and HMS Belfast. Went to a VR thing last hols (expensive!), nothing on at theatre that doesn't cost a fortune. Also weather not great today.

Has anyone done Frameless or the interactive Van Gogh? Both get mixed reviews and also quite expensive.

I think we are literally spoilt for choice but I need some inspiration - has anyone done anything a bit different that both they and teen (boy if that makes a difference) have enjoyed (and preferably doesn't cost an arm and a leg).

Thanks

Gosh! comic store and then Forbidden Planet was a massive hit recently.

Kew Gardens- take a camera or sketchbook if studying art. Large so can absorb a lot of people.

Try Today Tix for cheaper theatre seats?

The museums will definitely empty out towards the end of the day so you could take your pick after, say, 4pm. The Imperial War Museum is on our list because of GCSE history.

Swimming in the Olympic pool if you've never done that?

Visit Sir John Soane's Museum. It's free & fascinating!

Crazy golf in Camden? Escape room in Islington?
If DD and I were heading into town today we would probably go straight to Borough Market and have doughnuts from Bread Ahead, then over to Portobello to buy some tat vintage items then finish in Camden at Mildred's with a restorative pint first at the World's End.

The pancake place is really good, you do need to book though

Olympic swimming is great but him and his mates are off to the Aqua splash there this week and I don't think he wants me tagging along :)

It's great -but I don't think he's very interested in the Ai WeiWei exhibition and it's a paying one.

Or the Geffrye Museum but it has a new name now(Museum of the Home!)
Both are free I believe.

He goes to a monthly club at John Soanes! He's very lucky - it's a great museum.
