I'll go first:

  1. Floradix
  2. Cod liver oil
  3. Nettle (fresh leaves in a smoothie or I'll make tea and eat the leaves after)

I was just coming on here to say floradix - a miracle worker
Magnesium for a good nights sleep

likeadisgruntledpelican · 31/05/2023 06:15

Which Floradix do you buy? I bought a liquid one years ago but ago but it tasted of blood for obvious reasons which grossed me out.

I take Lion's Mane, Gingko and Equazen Eye Q. Seems to help with the ADHD 'chatter' in my head and I can now focus for long periods whereas before I was jumping from task to task and could never finish anything.

Magnesium magnesium magnesium

CBD drops also good

so you “feel amazing” OP? I would t go so far as to say I always feel “amazing” but pretty bloody good for a 42 year old single parent!

mind you, choice between exercise or supplement for feeling amazing…. And no contest. Exercise every time

Is floradix an iron supplement?

Yes

I also would say magnesium for sleep

Coffeetree · 31/05/2023 06:33

Yes Floradix is iron among other things like vit B etc. It's the only iron supplement I can stomach.

What kinds of magnesium supplements are people taking?

I get the tablets! I don't mind the taste of the liquid Floradix but it stains my teeth.

Floradix tablets. Magnesium oxide. S olgar brand vi t d3.

In addition this week's breakthrough has been a teaspoon of marmite daily. Total game changer!!

It was the Asd a equivalent too in the spirit of thrift. Amazeballs! An instant pick me up.

I did the Zoe nutrition testing. Turns out I've been eating all of the wrong things, not enough fat at all. I'd done a nutrition course, but knew nothing about my nutrition. I now feel so much better now I'm eating what my body needs. A fat and protein full breakfast really makes a big difference for me.

GiveupHQ · 31/05/2023 07:37

@MaverickSnoopy

I'd done a nutrition course, but knew nothing about my nutrition

hope you got your money back from that course as that is pretty appalling if you did a nutrition course but came out of it knowing “nothing”

Magnesium, vit D, Vit B complex and marine collagen

Back21970 · 31/05/2023 08:50

I take Collagen powder, cod liver oil and Vitamins A,B, D and E, worry sometimes that I take too much.

Eat a lot of salmon & tuna, plus eggs and yogurt but generally otherwise my diet can sometimes be poor to be honest, not a lot of fruit and veg and partial to wine & pizza especially at weekends, and the dreaded ready meal.

What are the benefits of Magnesium? I think I recall reading it could have some negative side effects, but might be wrong.

Menopausal on HRT but still don’t sleep great and have fluid retention.
