Lighthearted before anyone gets a bee in their bonnet.

I make up fun names to encourage my kids to do stuff they don’t necessarily want to do.

I have a tradition of Friday night Film night on a Friday where they get to pick a film each week for us to watch as a family.

I’m extending it this week to get them to watch films I know they will like, but are stubbornly refusing to watch on film night.

So far I have

Sunday Screen Time
Monday Movie Moment
Tuesday Telly Time
Wednesday….help!!
Thursday Tube Time
Friday Film Night
Saturday…

I knew someone would say something. Just knew it

FGS…I want to watch a film with my kids. It’s something I know they would enjoy. I don’t make them watch WW1 documentary films. It’s a family thing.

I can’t afford to take them out to places. I can’t get about on my own (I need a wheelchair and someone to push me). This is how I spend time with my children

Sounds fun!

Wednesday watch night sounds good?

Saturday second screening? So they pick their fave to watch again?

BrutusMcDogface · 29/05/2023 11:23

I like Watch Something Wednesday. Maybe Thrilling Thursday and watch an exciting film that day!

how old are your kids? It sounds like a lovely thing to do but my kids would need their phones taken off them so they weren’t constantly distracted by them! 🙄

Soubriquet · 29/05/2023 11:23

8 and 10.

BrutusMcDogface · 29/05/2023 11:25

8 and 10 are lovely ages. Close enough in age to like similar stuff, too. Enjoy 😊

Thanks. I do

They are opposite sexes so on a normal week, on a Saturday or Sunday, I’ll sometimes watch a film with just the one. Such as a something girly with dd, or something that only ds would like

Weve just finished our film. It was one dd was adamant she didn’t want to watch, wasn’t her thing. I knew she would love it which is why I got her to watch it and she did
