Tell me your bank holiday weekend plans...

Is it just me or does anyone else relate... as soon as the sun is out I abandon adulting and the things I should be doing to absorb as much sun and fresh air as possible?

Having said that I'm now feeling a lot of guilt at not being very productive this weekend!

What has everyone been up to? I feel like I can be easily influenced here to either have another enjoyable day tomorrow or actually pull my finger out and get some errands and life admin done!

My husband has bagged an elusive day off tomorrow. We are going to go for a walk with our toddler in the morning, then have a bbq later on with my parents.

When the sun comes out I want to go shopping, so this is a cheaper option!

I'm working all day tomorrow. Had a nice day out with the family today though.

We have an afternoon BBQ at a friends! I've just baked brownies to take.
I will get washing on and out 1st thing, try and get the essential ironing done before we head out so when I get home I can get back out in the garden!
Before work Tuesday!

Definitely abandoned adulting today - ds1 was at work and ds2 out with friends so Dh and I went for a sneaky beer garden afternoon pint.
Tomorrow we're going to see Guardians of the Galaxy 3 at the cinema. We don't see ds1 (17) much so this is a precious bit of stolen family time - we might even treat ourselves and go out for something to eat as well.

I'm working all weekend as usual but making time for a little sit in the sunshine in between everything else. I'd like to go and sit on the sea front and eat fish and chips whilst watching the world go by.

Yesterday nothing much, hoovering, sorting the silkies, playing with cat, collecting few things, bank account sorting, had nice roast dinner. Today been to hotel swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and did 100 lengths of 15metres. Tomorrow off to Paris for half term hopefully if can move teen sloth to car. Need to pack and sort house a bit before. Daughter back from week in Spain.

Exactly the same as you @ErinAndTonic

Think I'll do a little washing in the morning then enjoy the day in the garden again. No regrets!

We're good at guilt tripping ourselves to believe if we spend all weekend doing chores we should have relaxed and vice versa. Bugger it. It's a bank 'holiday'.

You are so right! This has been me all day.. having a nice day but belittling myself for doing so. Plenty of time to catch up, the balmy evenings make me feel so relaxed and content and that can only be a good thing!

Wait in for Tesco shop
Put stuff in loft
Dig a pond
Enforced downtime for the kids

So exciting 😄
