Help me find my ideal location!

3 bed plus for around 450k
Good secondary school
Pretty villagey feel
Near Thames
Access to M4

Which places should I be focusing in on?

That sounds like a tight budget for that area. I think that will make your decision for you TBH.

We lived in Crowthorne for a bit and liked it there.

Wargrave is probably the option with the best school catchment area, with Piggott. Henley has Gillotts- which is also good, but has no sixth form. Sonning is gorgeous, but does not have a secondary within walking distance, and the one in catchment is not that highly regarded (though it's fine!). Marlow has good options.

....but £450,000 would be a tight budget for those villages.

@Curioushorse isn’t Piggott the catchment secondary for Sonning?

@marygirling have you looked at Wokingham, Twyford, Ruscombe, Hurst?

Curioushorse · 27/05/2023 21:05

@DorisParchment nope. It's Waingels. Which IS a good school.....just not as good as Piggott. It's been an issue for Sonning parents. I suspect many of them go for the private school in the village.
