I just bought some tickets from there and I'm now stressing as there seem to be mixed reviews on it.

I don't know anyone who has used this site before.

Does anyone have experience, either good or bad.

Yes my son bought me Lizzo tickets for Christmas on that site, no problems at all.

Fab, thank you, I'm really nervous (3x the face value of the bloody tickets) and started reading horror stories. It's a 4 hour trip as well so that will be the train and hotel as well as tickets if its a rip off.

I've sold tickets on there before, no issues, they went by UPS to Milan!

Brilliant thank you.

I'm feeling quietly optimistic I maybe haven't been scammed.

Yep used them with no problems. Concert was originally may 2020 but kept being cancelled due to covid - eventually went may 2022. All fine.

Anoana · 27/05/2023 14:39

Used them for a concert last week; when I went to download the tickets they weren't there, but I called them and they offered me alternative tickets straight away.

CoreyTaylorsSoggyTshirt · 27/05/2023 14:45

Brilliant, the venue is standing only, so I'm not worried about seats.

They said it was only paper tickets and that they would be here the week before the concert (November).

I guess when I have them in hand there's some way I can check with the venue they are legit before I go all that way just to be turned away at the door.

My daughter turned up at her gig to find the ticket invalid , wouldn't recommend.

HiKenHiKenHiKen · 27/05/2023 16:52

There’s an entire Facebook group of people who’ve been ripped off on viagogo - not sure I’d recommend

HiKenHiKenHiKen · 27/05/2023 16:52

It’s called victims of viagogo, has 15k members

Oldraver · 27/05/2023 18:35

I bought some from there not realising it was a resale sight.

I had to wait until two days before for the tickets (when they had said a week, so a bit of stressing) but they came through from Ticketmaster quiet easily

Newtry · 27/05/2023 18:38

Venues are definitely getting tighter on this. Needing ID in the ticket purchaser's name etc.

Good luck OP

Newtry · 27/05/2023 18:38

Sorry, just reread, I wasn't being sarcastic just trying to say hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones

VIAGOGO IS A SCAM – STAY FAR AWAY!

I'm writing this in absolute anger and frustration, and I hope it serves as a warning to anyone even thinking about using Viagogo. This company is nothing but a scam operation, and they should be shut down immediately.

In December 2024, I bought tickets through Viagogo to see HURTS at Brixton Academy for my fiancée's birthday. The show was sold out, and I was desperate to get them because she loves the band. I paid nearly £200 for the tickets – and honestly, I had a bad feeling right from the start. But I pushed it aside because I wanted to make her birthday special.

Weeks turned into months, and there were no tickets. I contacted Viagogo, and they casually told me they "weren’t available yet." That made no sense – I’d paid for them in full months ago. Two weeks before the show? Still no tickets. Their response? “If they don’t show up, we’ll refund you.” Seriously? That’s not a policy – that’s gambling with people’s money.

The day of the concert arrived, and guess what? Still no tickets. I had spent nearly £700 on a hotel, dinner, and travel – all for nothing. I called Viagogo in a panic, and they told me the tickets would arrive. Then, just 20 minutes before the show, they finally emailed me two dodgy screenshots of tickets. I was suspicious but desperate. We went to the venue, had them scanned – and shocker – THEY WERE FAKE.

We were pulled aside by security and brought to an area where at least 10 other people were also holding fake tickets from Viagogo. It was a sickening moment of realisation – this is a full-blown scam. I called Viagogo, absolutely furious, and the woman on the phone shrugged it off. No help, no apology. Just, “buy new tickets or miss the show.”

Luckily, the venue released a few more tickets and the security staff helped us get in. If not for that, we – and all the other victims – would’ve missed everything. Viagogo would’ve walked away with thousands of pounds, and no accountability.

Now it’s been over a week, and still no refund. First they blamed my bank (laughable), then after I threatened legal action and police involvement, they magically admitted the refund hadn’t even been processed yet.

I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so appalling I have to speak out. Viagogo is a predatory company that preys on desperate people. They sell fake tickets, offer zero accountability, and rob people of their money, time, and memories.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM VIAGOGO.
Use a reputable company. Listen to your instincts. Don’t let these scammers ruin your plans like they almost ruined mine.

VIAGOGO IS A SCAM – AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Agree. If it works you are just lucky. I bought tickets for a concert that was postponed due to covid. I was assured my original tickets would still be valid. When we got to the venue we found tickets had been reissued but they would have gone to the original purchaser. Multiple phone calls and emails to viagogo - zero response. I got my money back using section 75 with my credit card but it was a major headache and didn't make up for the disappointment of taking my son to a gig he waited 2 years for only to be refused entry.
