Dull request for washing machine recommendations

My washing machine just spewed out a load of smoke. Can anyone recommend a 9 Kilo machine they are very pleased with (up to about £500)? A long warranty is a bonus.

My current one had a 1600 spin speed which seems hard to fine now, so assume we will have to go for a 1400 this time.

I can spend more if I need to for something that will last forever, but I also feel that even more expensive appliances seem crap for longevity now. My ancient Bosch dishwasher is a teenager but my mums newest one only lasted a few years.

Thanks in advance

I’ve been trying to find a washer that has a 60’ hour long wash but none of the new models seem to (EU regs have had an impact on what manufacturers can provide I presume). I bought a Hotpoint but a 60’ takes about 4 hours!!! Quicker hand washing 😳. Has anyone got a new washer with a 60’ 60 minute wash?

I have had my Miele Powerwash for about 2 years now. It’s a real workhorse and clothes have never been cleaner.

I've got an indesit 7kg but the 60° is 2hr. Id love a 60° in 60 mins, 40 just doesn't cut it sometimes

I’d recommend any model with iDOS. Our Bosch has it and it means you fill the machine up with liquid detergent and softener. Then it just doses itself each wash. I have a daughter who is rubbish with putting washing on and she actually now is doing load after load. It’s been 5 years now and still going strong.

I have a Haier washer dryer which is TERRIBLE. Never gets anything dry and regularly says the wash will take two hours then keeps going for five hours. You can’t even control the dryer heat setting. Had an old hoover one previously which was fab.
