Hmm... UK justice versus Spain:

Ben David Rose aka Ben David Lewis, of St. Albans received a two-year suspended sentence in 2016 for child pornography offences. Within three months, with a new name and passport, he was working as an au pair in the Spanish city of Zaragoza.

He then worked as an au pair again within Spain, and then latterly taking a job as an English teacher at a private school. Same behaviour as before, dark web/dozens of offences.

Spain dealt with him properly: A 135-year sentence.

So good to see someone takes it seriously.

I’ll never understand why online child abuse isn’t dealt with more strongly. It should ALWAYS result in a custodial sentence with significant work around the risk (don’t that I really believe it is possible to rehabilitate that type of offender).
