Spiraliser: do you use it or does it gather dust?

Am on a diet, thinking of getting one for courgetti purposes. But it looks a bit unwieldy and I'm wondering if it's one of those gadgets that just ends up in the cupboard gathering dust....

I used it twice and then into the cupboard of doom it went .

I do like the idea but Dust! A pain to clean so I just chop now, tastes the same.

Mine comes out in the summer and to the back of the cupboard in the winter.

Used it a couple of times and got rid when I was on a keto phase. I don't want courgette spaghetti any more.

I do have a julienne peeler that is small, and gets used from time
To time

I bought one, secondhand, from a charity shop. In the box, clearly never used.

It's been in my cupboard of doom for 3yrs new, still unused!

PiffleIsTakingThePiss · 26/05/2023 14:28

Yes. One outing and into the dark void of the cupboard of doom where it remains to this day. It might even have turned entirely to dust now. I don't know.

NotMeNoNo · 26/05/2023 14:29

Julienne peeler does the job for courgettes.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 26/05/2023 14:30

Used ours loads to start with. Now not on keto it’s in the cupboard of doom, but when we were both doing keto it was used at least 3 times a week. I won’t get rid of it because who knows if I fancy doing keto again one day.

Neekoh · 26/05/2023 14:35

I used it once. Tedious piece of crappy equipment! Gave it away to a friend.

Peel your courgette into strips using your peeler. Dress with olive oil. Top with pasta sauce. Eat.

ASGIRC · 26/05/2023 14:37

Used it once. It was so cumbersome to use... Its in the cupboard now!

PickNewName · 26/05/2023 14:38

used A couple of times then, after several months, passed to DM. She used it once then, after several months, passed it back. I used it once more, just to check I hadn’t remembered incorrectly how much of a faff it was. I hadn’t.
Sent it to the charity shop.

DramaAlpaca · 26/05/2023 14:40

Used a couple of times then banished to the cupboard.

Courgetti is soggy and unpleasant anyway, it's not worth it.

I occasionally spiralise a potato, spritz it with oil and sprinkle it with a pre-mixed garlic powder, salt and pepper mix i use then cook it in the air fryer. It's flipping delicious
