I don't have a printer (although I might get one after this lol) so have been using an online company for a few years now and they have always been great.

Going to a concert in a few days so decided to get them to print my tickets out (done this before with zero problem)

Put my order in and thought nothing more of it until a massive package arrived, Opened it up and I now have two massive poster sized concert tickets!

Checked my account and I ordered A4 like I usually do (they generally put the two tickets on the same page) and they have made posters instead!.

The barcode is massive!

I don't know anyone with a printer, It's too late to get them redone and even if I did I wouldn't have them in time now, I don't know anywhere I could go in town to get it done, I'm assuming I won't get in with them?!! If I hold it up in front of me they are the length of me from the top of my head to my waist!

Try your local library.

Caramelisedbiscuitbutter · 26/05/2023 11:49

Hahaha. This is brilliant. I think you turn up with them for the comedic value 😂

In all seriousness surely e-tickets are fine these days? Unless it’s a very old school venue or something?

JD90 · 26/05/2023 11:50

Most places just expect to scan the barcode directly from your phone these days you should be fine. If you're worried you can always ring the venue to double check.

AHugeTinyMistake · 26/05/2023 11:51

The thought of you turning up with those print outs has really tickled me 🤣

Can you not show the code on your phone? I always used to print them out until one day I forgot and had to use my phone & it was fine. Not bothered to print any tickets out since.

sanityisamyth · 26/05/2023 11:51

You probably could have bought a printer for the price of printing those tickets 🤣 if you've got them on your phone they can scan them from there.

Makkapakkasstones · 26/05/2023 11:52

I am laughing at this purely because I am currently having a disaster of my own with concert tickets of my own this weekend. Everyone else going has reassured me barcode on phone will be fine. But the email made a big thing about printing tickets.

ComputerInitiateJump · 26/05/2023 11:53

Sorry op but this made me chuckle. Everyone will think you are just mega excited for the concert!

WoofWoofBeachLife · 26/05/2023 11:54

I'm assuming you would have downloaded them to your phone if you could have, so can anyone you are going with do it in their phone for you? Places like community hubs, libraries and sometimes a local PO will print something for you. Xx

Gizlotsmum · 26/05/2023 11:54

Local library might be able to print. Should be ok on phone

SunnySaturdayMorning · 26/05/2023 11:56

You don’t need to print tickets anymore.

But Rymans often have printers you can use.

alloalloallo · 26/05/2023 11:56

That’s made me laugh.

I once accidentally printed some festival tickets out at A3 and they accepted them fine - not quite poster size though.

They just had to stand at a distance to scan the barcode

Isthatascratchonmygrandmother · 26/05/2023 11:57

Brilliant 🤣 Two poster frames and hang them. I definitely would.

llamallama6384 · 26/05/2023 11:57

This is brilliant! 😂

Thebigblueballoon · 26/05/2023 11:59

You definitely need to keep one as a poster! 😂😂😂

CocoPlum · 26/05/2023 12:03

Go to your local library or ask a friend if they can print for you!

I once printed a courier label on my home printer and it filled the entire a4 page. The lady at the shop wasn't able to scan it as the bar code took up almost half the page so I had to go home and do it again - so while your poster sized tickets are funny I don't think you'll be able to use them!

VivaciousRadish · 26/05/2023 12:06

My daughter needed to print something out recently (not tickets) everywhere was closed and she was desperate, so she asked in a hotel

We have a printer at home, but she was away

PuppyMonkey · 26/05/2023 12:06

I work at a printing company and all I can say is Grin

(we would have noticed and questioned it before sending btw)

lacucarachaaa · 26/05/2023 12:11

Dh did this, I had a print business and he decided to print off his ticket for a football match. The printer had a3 paper in and was still set to that default on the laptop. He printed two of the biggest qr codes imaginable. It was hilarious 😂

OnedayIwillfeelfree · 26/05/2023 12:13

Open the email on your phone, save the ticket and barcode as a screenshot, as just show your phone at the venue

DemonicCaveMaggot · 26/05/2023 12:13

If you are worried you won't be able to access the email on your phone when it is time to show the tickets, take a screen shot of each so they are stored in your photos.

Niceseasidetown · 26/05/2023 12:16

I love this

Cinnamope · 26/05/2023 12:18

Haha this is brilliant! Just bring them on your phone

we also need a photo of this massive print out 😂😂

FadedRed · 26/05/2023 12:22

My local supermarket has a photo printing machine, most supermarkets will have similar. Do a screen shot them then print as a photo, costs about 50p per print.
